Lisa Cheney-Steen: I am the VP of Academic Relationships for StraighterLine, a company providing high-quality yet inexpensive courses from the first two years of college directly to students. In the past I have been the Instructional Chair for Online Learning for Colorado Mountain College, based in Glenwood Springs, CO and the Co-Executive Director of CCCOnline, the online program for the Colorado Community College System. I've worked in distance learning and learning technology for over 20 years now, beginning in telecourses at the Community College of Aurora, through the beginnings of fully online courses at CCCOnline, and now at CMC. I love learning about new technologies and how they might improve students' learning outcomes in both the courses I teach and those I help support.
